I know you can't tell in this picture but there was only one lane traffic here and two earth movers were head to head! One had to give...the one with the big bucket of gravel facing this way finally backed up to let the big yellow guy through. We all had a good laugh!

This machine had to have a tire change! I suppose everyone gets a flat tire sometimes!
A few trees had to come down, there were some on the ditch side of our rail fence.

I like the picture of Grandpa Archer supervising. I can't believe all the leaves have fallen off your trees already. In Charleston, the leaves are just starting to change color and fall.
Great pics - I had no idea they would make such a mess or dig such a BIG, deep hole in order to put in the water line. The mild fall weather has probably helped them move along. I am so happy you have a fire hydrant so close to the house now!
