Pig Roast

Jerry and I just came home from the annual pig roast at the lake. It was a beautiful day and we had a really good time. Kids played and went swimming, men played horse shoe, lots of folks just sat outside, watched the boats and skiers and skidoos and visited. We all ate. What a good dinner! Richard doesn't roast a whole pig any more. He says since he turned 70 he just can't do all that work any more so he buys pork and cooks it in the big roaster burner. It's very good. Actually I liked it better than the pig he used to roast. There were three birthdays to celebrate: Cherilyn's was yesterday, Jim's 93rd is today, and Marilyn's is tomorrow. We sang Happy Birthday and ate cake and ice cream. It was a great way to begin Labor Day Weekend.
