Breaking Ground

Last evening we had our ground breaking at church for our new ministry building. It was rainy and cloudy all day. Just before we started at 6:30 the sun came out! We had blue sky and sun shine. As we were driving home it started to rain again!!! We started out by eating together. It was pot luck with hot dogs furnished. The north parking lot was lined with tables and chairs. Here are Joan, Donna, Judy, Tom, and Peggy.

Pastor Dave is giving instructions on how to line up for food. There were about 170 folks of all ages there!

Bob and Jim, good friends. Bob is strapped into his wheel chair. Jim brings him on Wednesday evenings when Bob is able. Judy and Penn are in the background.

Pastor Dave is explaining about the future building.

Pastor Dave bought this shovel eight years ago thinking we were going to be doing some construction work at that time. It wasn't the right time and just didn't happen...so now he got to use it!

Pastor Scott and Callem.

Donna and Judy. Good friends of ours. Donna was one of Jerry's nurses for his first major surgery.

Judy, Barb, Zarah, Jesse, and Greg. They pushed their shovels into the dirt and then stopped for prayer.

Larry and Rob waiting to toss their dirt. Pastor Dave gave instructions all along the way. This whole evening was bathed in prayer.
Lord, You have blessed us in so many ways. Please use this new building for Your use. Help us to be wise in planning and working. Thank You for last evening. It truly was a wonderful time of fellowship.
